Its in the hands of congress and nobody else to increase the cap/quota of h1b visa for fiscal year 2017. But I don't see any change in the quota coming any soon atleast for this year. So the quota numbers will remain the same as of last year i.e. 65,000 for Regular and 20,000 in advanced quota.
