Make full use of the resources offered by the University

We often don't make full use of the resources provided by the university. But did you know that you are already paying for a lot of services with your tuition fees and you don't make use of them?

Usually the universities charge you around $100-$150 per semester as a  recreational center fees (Gym). So make sure you make use of resources like these. Also you pay around $350 to $450 per semester as a library fees. Many university libraries offer you student carrel ( basically a small personal room which will have one table and chair) and as a graduate student you get a personal student carrel for the whole semester. You can keep your books and other stuff in there and can study peacefully and quietly.

Universities also charge you for a lot of other things and students often don't utilize these resources. Also its important to check your tuition fees and and check what all you are paying for. As an international student you pay a lot compared to the in state students.

Also international students pay around $800 to $1000 per semester on insurance. Don't be afraid to go to the student wellness center if you are not feeling well. Generally the students are afraid to use the wellness services considering the medical expenses but remember we are already paying a lot on the insurance and usually the insurance will cover your doctor visit when you go the wellness center.

These are just a few points to remember. There is a lot of other fees which you pay along with your tuition fees. So next time when you pay your tuition fees remember to check what all things you are paying for and make full use of it.
